Rating: 5 out of 5.

This book was gifted to us for Christmas and it is the most wonderful resource that will be useful for years to come. Each page is dedicated to a different emotion; describing the feeling, providing synonyms to express it, placing it in the body, and talking about why the feeling is helpful. It covers common emotions like joy, fear, embarrassment, and guilt, as well as more complex feeling states, such as humility, rejection, resentment, vulnerability, and self-pity. The authors provide a simple, non-prescriptive guide to processing emotions, which involves noticing and labelling it, providing space to feel without judgement, and using whatever strategies are helpful while remembering that all emotions will pass. Suitable for kids aged 3+ through to adults. I recommend this book for teens and parents, as much as for younger kids.
