Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I came across this book by accident in Better Read than Dead bookstore in Newtown, and am convinced it is a must-have for all teen girls. An approachable, well-researched and friendly guide for girls (and their parents!), this is a book that you can read cover-to-cover or dip in and out of. Covering topics from confidence and self-esteem to body image, money and work, peers and bullying, romance and sex, drugs, alcohol, school stress, mental health and how to get on with your family. It is a reliable, inclusive and non‑judgemental guide that deals with the messy, exciting and confusing parts of being a teen girl. Every family with girls should have this on their bookshelf.
