Rating: 5 out of 5.

I came across this book while browsing my favourite local bookshop in Dulwich Hill, and it has been read many times over in our home. Providing simple statements to help kids through common social situations, such as feeling shy, being left out, having an accident, or seeing a friend who has lost someone. This book encourages empathy, perspective taking, honesty, kindness, and compassion for those around us. It gives children practical phrases to use, and provides a platform to think more deeply about our experiences with others. ‘What to say when you don’t know what to say’ is suitable for children from 4 to 10 years old.
